The Relay For Life 'National Corporate Teams Program' is an initiative designed to recognise, support and develop corporate involvement in Relay For Life nationwide. How do corporate organisations qualify for the National Corporate Teams Program?
An organisation would qualify for the Relay For Life National Corporate Teams Program when in one calendar year it:- Had more than 20 teams across 3 or more states
- Designates a volunteer within the organisation to develop and track their team results;
- Distributes materials internally and;
- Motivates these teams within the company.
What are the benefits of becoming a National Corporate Teams Program Company?
Relay For Life National Corporate Team Program Companies receive:- Access to the Relay For Life logo (with the statement under the logo ‘National Corporate Teams Program’) to provide your organisation with the tools to promote your support of Relay For Life.
- Recognition at each Relay event where your organisation is involved.
- An invitation for the company representative to attend a Cancer Council thank-you function and Relay For Life National Conference or your state / Territory Relay For Life function.
- Recognition in each state's Relay For Life publication or other Cancer Council publication as a National Corporate Team Program Company.
- Acknowledgment on the Relay For Life website within the National Corporate Teams Program pages.
My organisation would like to include multiple teams, what are the next steps?
The following outlines the steps for your organisation to get involved in a Relay For Life National Corporate Teams Program:- Contact your local Relay For Life Program and register your interest in becoming a National Corporate Teams Program Company.
- Identify a volunteer leader to coordinate your organisation’s Relay For Life teams.
- Announce the partnership and promote Relay For Life within your organisations internal channels.
- Recruit a minimum of 20 Relay teams across three or more states.
- Track progress and report year-end results.
- Set nationwide goals for the upcoming year.
- Celebrate the efforts of your employees’ involvement to fight cancer!
